We are on a mission to outline what it means to make money on-chain, cross-chain. The digital world is vast and the opportunities it presents are varied and ever-evolving. That’s why we’re excited to launch Code Quest, a pioneering initiative designed to drive the development of innovative tools that help navigate and simplify the DeFi landscape.

Empowering Your Financial Journey, Code Quest is more than just a competition; it’s a shout out to the community. We aim to be your partner as you leap from one chain to another, seeking out the best money-making opportunities. Whether it’s maximising yields or capitalising on reward programs, our bridge is here to ensure your capital remains liquid, flexible, and ready to move wherever and whenever the next big chance arises.

The Power of Open Minds and Agile Solutions In the spirit of keeping an open mind and staying nimble, Code Quest encourages developers to think creatively about the tools that can make value movement across chains seamless. By bridging the gap for those intimidated by the technical complexities of blockchain, we imagine a foundation where both tech-savvy enthusiasts and newcomers can thrive.

The Sprint: Building Bridges and Finding Opportunities

Code Quest features two bounties that spearhead these goals:

Ongoing until the end of the year!
Deadline for final submissions: December 23pm 5pm EST.

  1. Cross-Chain Token Bridge Transfer — Algorand to BASE/ETH/AVAX/ETC

Objective: Develop a JavaScript application that utilizes the Messina SDK to automate the bridging of tokens from the Algorand blockchain to another network.

Challenge: Create a system that monitors the Algorand chain for token transfers and triggers a seamless, automated bridging process to another chain.

Skills: JavaScript/TypeScript, Messina SDK, Web3.js, API integration.

2. Cross-Chain Value Creation

Objective: Build a tool that expands on the cross chain token bridge transfer of Bounty 1. Create a cross chain value producing transaction sequence between at least 2 different blockchains (Algorand, Ethereum, Avalanche, Base, Binance Smart Chain, etc.) that produces value. Leveraging the Messina SDK for cross-chain transactions, you can think of Arbitrage Trading, Stablecoin Swapping, Yield Optimizing, or Token Staking. Keep in mind to account for things like protocol fees / transaction fees / price impact etc.

Challenge: Implement a system that not only finds these value opportunities but also acts on them swiftly to maximize the results.

Skills: JavaScript, Messina SDK, market analysis, API integration.

Read more details about both bounties in the GitHub linked at the bottom of this article.

The Treasure:

With a total prize pool of 40,000 ALGO between both bounties until the end of this year, we aim to attract creative talent to Algorand that can make a lasting impact.

Thinking Beyond The Goal We encourage every developer to be imaginative, and ideas or suggestions outside the initial bounties can also be eligible for rewards if proven functional.

Join the Quest We invite all developers and blockchain enthusiasts to join Code Quest and contribute to the development of these public goods that support the quest for making money on chain, cross chain.

As we kick off this exciting journey, remember that with a Cross Chain Mindset, you’re never just participating; you’re pioneering.

Let’s build, innovate, and win together.
